Subscribe to the Companion Parrot Quarterly

The Companion Parrot Quarterly, or CPQ, (formerly the Pet Bird Report) is published four times a year in February, May, August and November. Subscriptions are sold by the issue: six issues or twelve. Currently, each issue is 90. You may subscribe by mail, by phone, or using our secure online store.

 We have special promotional subscriptions for Vets, Breeders, and Bird Clubs. We also will provide free brochures and complimentary back issues of the magazine for distribution at bird shows and educational seminars, to advertisers for shipping with orders, to subscribing veterinary clinics, and to rescue groups for inclusion in adoption packages.

The Companion Parrot Quarterly is sent by Bulk or Second Class mail (basic) or First Class Mail depending on the subscriber's request. Some subscribers have trouble receiving their Second Class mail copies in a timely manner especially in large cities (NY & Chicago particularly), small towns and rural areas, and in Hawaii & Alaska.

Bulk and Second Class mail is not forwarded and you will miss an issue if we do not receive your change of address prior to a mailing. Because of these factors, some people choose to have their subscription sent by First Class mail (the extra cost simply pays the postage and handling). If you subscribe by Second Class mail, and would like to receive the most recent issue of the Companion Parrot Quarterly, please enclose an extra $3.00, in addition to the subscription price shown below, and we will send you the current issue right away—otherwise it may be several months until you receive your first issue if an issue has just been sent out.

First Class Mail subscribers automatically receive the current issue unless we are notified they already have that issue. Subscribers from outside the USA automatically receive their magazine by First Class Mail.

For Current Subscribers:
Time to Renew? Check the mailing label on the front of your magazine, (or for First Class subscribers - the envelope the magazine came in). Underneath your name you will see a code that looks something like this:
VOL11/3(#53). Compare the number in parenthesis (#53) to the number on the top of the magazine. For example: Issue 53 - Summer 2001. In the example given Issue #53 is the last issue of the subscription and it is time to renew!

Basic mail subscription will not be forwarded by the Post Office and we are not able to re-mail issues that are returned to us without payment for the first class postage.
