Years ago I carved birds for a living and attended more than a few Wildlife Art and Ducks Unlimited Events. During one, the artists waited for a long banquet to adjourn in hopes of selling artwork afterwards. I wandered around and looked at everyone's' work. I think I counted over 100 paintings of dogs with dead game birds in their mouths. This gave me the idea behind this clay sculpture that could also be called "Revenge of the goose."

Because of their beaks, Puffins have been referred to as "Sea Parrots." With its oranges, yellows, tans and grey blue, the beak of the Atlantic Puffin is actually more colorful that than of any of the parrots.

The owl may be the "King of the Night" but during
 the day if a flock of small birds finds a sleeping owl, they mob it to chase it away from their territory.  Of course, this does not make the owl very happy, but it may keep the owl from attacking the sleeping chickadees during the night.
